Meet Megan

Megan is our Receptionist at Assist Community Services.

Do you have any hobbies? I like to play video games and hang out with my close friends.
 
What’s your background? Most of my background is call centre work although I once worked at The Cheesecake Shop, which I loved as breakfast was cheesecake every morning.
 
What made you take the leap and enter this industry? I was looking for a more fulfilling role that involved helping people. My long-term goal is to become an OBGYN or Midwife.
 
What do you like about working at Assist Community Services? All the lovely people I get to meet and assist. It feels amazing when you can truly help someone live the life they want to live.

Do you have any advice to others considering coming into this industry? Just be your lovely self and do your best to make life more empowering for our participants. Any person from any background can join this industry.
 
What is the best advice you have ever received? Fake it until you make it, confidence is key!
 
Tell us a surprising fun fact about you. I have webbed toes, so I can swim really fast. Just kidding, I can’t swim very fast but I do get a laugh out of the nail technician trying to fit on toe separators when I go for a pedicure.
