The Wheel of Well-being program helps communities and individuals build skills and raise awareness about improving mental health and wellbeing.
At Assist Community Services, we pride ourselves on being able to support NDIS participants to live a life of their choosing.
The support for individuals offered by Assist Community Services recognises the diversity and choice of each individual, family and their carers.
Through the NDIS, we proudly assist individuals with one on one support. Supports offered by Assist Community Services recognise the diversity and choice of each individual, family and their carers.
Mental health is more than mental illness. Mental health is the overall state of well-being in which every individual realises their own potential, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work efficiently and successfully, and is able to make a contribution to their community.
We work with participants, their families and carers to design supports that suit individuals, their needs and lifestyle goals. We recognise the diversity and choice of each NDIS participant.
Assist Community Services has chosen core values that correlate with our purpose and vision. This provides clear guidance for achieving our goals and keeping the service we provide the best it can be.
The NDIS provides reasonable and necessary funding to people with a permanent and significant disability to access the supports and services they need to live and enjoy their life. Every NDIS participant has an individual plan that lists their goals and funding.
Assist Community Services promotes the implementation of person-centred approaches to planning and practice to support people with disability to develop and maintain their skills and independence, and to have a lifestyle based on their own interests and aspirations. All our supports are tailored to suit each participant, their needs and wants, this is done through the support pathway.
